Thank you for using our voter guide. The following guidelines will help you navigate through our website.
At the top of every page is a Skip Navigation link which takes you straight to the page content as well as the Accessibility Help link which takes you to this page. The website is divided into four main pages which are linked to from the main navigation at the top of each page:
Every page also includes a footer with additional links including a Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Technical Support and a link to this page. The main feature of this website is the voter guide which is discussed in the following section.
The voter guide is used to look up a sample ballot containing the candidates and races specific to your address (as you registered to vote). When you visit the voter guide, you will be asked to enter your first name, last name, and birth date in order to look up your ballot.
If you share a commong name and birthdate with another registered voter, you will be asked to select your name and address from a list in order for us to provide you with an accurate ballot. Now that we are able to identifiy your location, we can provide you with an accurate sample ballot.
The next page, Your Voter Guide, presents your sample ballot. You can navigate through the ballot by either tabbing through or using your H key. Ever district on your ballot is represented by an H2 tag. Ever race under the district is marked by an H3 tag. Under every race, there will be a list of candidates which link to their full written and video statements. Each candidate may have a written statement, a video statement, and/or additional links for more information. The sections of their profile are marked with H4 tags allowing you to quickly jump to any section.
The checkboxes next to each candidate or measure allow you to mark your selections for printing. The Print My Selections button at the bottom of every page takes you to a printer friendly version of your ballot,
